The Marriott Scholars Program at Lexington College
Lexington College is a private, accredited, women's college that specializes in hospitality management. The College offers a Bachelor's degree in hospitality management in which students specialize in baking & pastry, catering management, culinary arts, event planning, gastronomy, health care & wellness, hotel & lodging management, nutritional studies, restaurant & foodservice management, and travel & tourism. Lexington is conveniently located in Chicago's West Loop near means of public transportation. The student body is composed of a diverse cadre of women seeking a degree in hospitality management.
Lexington College is a College of Choice for Marriott International. In celebration of this partnership, Lexington has established a scholarship program designed to foster Lexington and Marriott's shared goal of creating a more diverse management workforce, the Marriott Scholars Program at Lexington College.
Marriott Scholars receive an annual $10,000 tuition scholarship for their studies in the Bachelor's degree program at Lexington College.
Scholarship applicants must submit a Marriott Scholars application, including a recommendation from a manager or supervisor who knows their work and can comment on their application to the Scholars Program. Applications for this program should be sent to Lexington College.
Five scholarships are available for female associates working in any of the thirty-one Marriott managed properties in the Chicagoland area. The tuition scholarship is annually renewable to students in good academic standing. Scholarship winners enrolling as part time students will qualify for prorated amounts. Candidates must apply and meet Lexington acceptance requirements. Lexington will work with applicants on obtaining any additional governmental financial aid funds for which they may qualify.
