| Class attendance, class participation,
and attitude toward class work are included in the class grade,
according to the standards set by each instructor at the beginning
of the course in the course syllabus.
A student receiving a grade of “Incomplete”
must initiate arrangements with her instructor to make up
the required work within two weeks after the last day of the
semester. Failure to do so will result in a failing grade
for the course.
Transfer
Credit
Credits earned at another accredited college or university
will be evaluated and only a “C” (2.0 on a four
point scale) or higher grade can be transferred. Upon evaluation,
credits, comparable degrees and/or coursework will be credited
to the student’s progress toward her Lexington degree,
if appropriate. Credit earned in developmental and remedial
courses, continuing education unit (CEU) or non-accredited
institutions are nontransferable. The grades and credits will
be recorded on the Lexington College transcript, but will
not be computed into the Lexington College GPA. Culinary arts
classes will be evaluated separately.
Acceptance does not guarantee credit. Credits
will be evaluated and comparable degrees and/or coursework
will be credited to the student’s progress toward her
Lexington bachelor’s degree if appropriate and if the
courses were completed with a grade “C” or higher
(with a numeric value of 2.0 on a four point scale) at another
accredited college or university.
Students
who have earned an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science
(AS), or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an
accredited college or university will have junior standing,
however the courses taken at an accredited college or university
will be evaluated using the same criteria used for any other
transferred credit.
All courses are assessed by the Office of
the Registrar in consultation with the Academic Dean. The
total amount of transfer credit will not exceed the necessary
residency requirements.
Enrolled
Lexington students wanting to attend a course for credit at
another accredited college or university and requesting the
transfer of credit must obtain written approval from the Registrar
in consultation with the academic dean before registration.
Course credit not approved in advance is not guaranteed as
transferable to the Lexington College degree. Only credit
hours transfer, not grades.

An official transcript must be requested in writing. Requests
must include the student’s full name (as recorded while
attending Lexington College), social security number, last
date of attendance, current phone number, the number of copies
requested, and to whom and where it should be sent.
A student’s financial obligations with
the College must be met to be eligible for an official transcript.

of student records, transcript requests made by phone or electronic
mail are not accepted.
A $10 fee per transcript, paid by money
order, credit card or cash for requests made in person is
