Mayela Hobbs, '88 is Manager, Partner Relations and Outreach, Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. "To be successful, you have to enjoy what you are doing and be willing to reinvent yourself. I credit Lexington for giving me the opportunity to continue my education and opening the doors to the hospitality field. Lexington gave me the tools and guidance to be successful on a professional and personal level. Too many schools concentrate only on the career aspect and do not realize the importance of personal and ethical guidance. Success is having a balance of all three." Mayela offers advice for Lexington students, "Stay updated in your field and technological changes. Your education does not stop after graduation; every day is a learning experience. Incorporate your values in your work. Motivate yourself to succeed; others will not do it for you. You are responsible for your own success." Mayela Hobbs, '88 "Lexington recognizes the students for who they are as individuals--you're not just a number" Marianne Doherty, '85 After graduating from Lexington you remain an important part of the Lexington College family and we want to help you in your future.
