Welcome! Thank you for your interest in applying to Lexington College, the women's hospitality management college in the United States. We look forward to getting to know you better! Lexington operates on a semester schedule, allowing new students to begin in the fall semester or the spring semester. All applicants are encouraged to visit the campus. And are welcome to contact the Office of Admissions with any questions or concerns.

Applicants must be high school graduates or hold a general equivalency diploma (GED) and submit results from a standardized admission test, either the examination administered by the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Freshmen

Applicants seeking to enroll who have a high school diploma and/or less than 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours at another college or university must submit:

Completed Lexington College application form including essay.
$30.00 non-refundable application fee.
Official ACT or SAT test scores of at least 18 ACT or 1000 SAT.
Official copy of high school transcript(s) in a sealed envelope with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Completed immunization form as required by the State of Illinois.
A letter of recommendation.
All official college transcript(s) (if applicable) in a sealed envelope.

Students with a GPA below 2.0, or having test scores below the requirements above, or those with a GED, must submit the following in addition to the above stated material:

Two additional letters of recommendation.
The official GED certificate with scores.

Transfer Students

Students who have attended another college or university are welcome to apply for admission. Students who have earned at least 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours at another accredited college or university and hold a cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above are considered "transfer" students; they are eligible to apply to Lexington College, however, they are not guaranteed credit. For admission, transfer students must submit:

Completed Lexington College application form including essay.
$30.00 non-refundable application fee.
All official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from each college or university attended.
A letter of recommendation.
Catalogs from each college or university attended may be requested.
Completed immunization form as required by the State of Illinois.

Transfer students are required to earn at least 30 hours of academic credit at Lexington to earn the Associate's degree and at least 60 hours of academic credit at Lexington to earn the Bachelor's degree.

International Students

Lexington College invites students from countries outside the United States to participate in its unique program. Lexington College is authorized under U.S. federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. International students interested in attending Lexington College should contact the Director of Admissions or phone (312) 226-6294.

International students seeking to enroll must meet admission requirements. The College requires the following:

Completed Lexington College International Student Application form.
$75.00 ($US) non-refundable application fee.
Transcripts of all previous education equivalent to U.S. secondary and postsecondary education, if applicable. A certified translated copy is required if transcript is not in the English language.
Two letters of recommendation from an instructor or counselor attesting to the applicant's potential for academic success.
A minimum TOFEL score of 547 on the written examination or 210 on the computerized examination, or either ELS level of 109, Berlitz level of 12, IELTS band 6.5, Aspect level 6 or 7. Lexington Code Number = 3843.
The Confidential Financial Support Certificate and supporting documentation that verifies the availability of sufficient funds. An original notarized affidavit is required; a faxed copy is not valid.
Verification of health insurance coverage.
Completed immunization form as required by the State of Illinois.
