Shirley Carlson, PhD
Dr. Carlson teaches psychology and holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. In addition she holds degrees in psychology from Roosevelt University and the University of Missouri- St. Louis.
Carlson is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in the Chicago area. Her work has been published in the Journal of Nonverbal Behavior.
Edwina Maksym, PhD
Professor Maksym holds a PhD in English from the University of Maryland College Park. She has four decades of teaching experience in independent schools and with university students. She specializes in literature and philosophy.
Her current research interests include issues surrounding sustainability and the human person as well as developing effective ethics of care and service.
